Music festivals
One of my favourite music festivals in La Mar de Músicas. It takes place every July in Cartagena, the place where i live. There you can listen to musics from different parts of the world. They are at night, and the atmosphere is great, you can dance and enjoy with the views over Cartagena Harbour. See you there next summer! by Ángela Vivancos, EOI Cartagena student.

I really love jazz and for that reason I enjoy going to the Jazz festival that takes place every year in San Javier (Murcia). Lots of famous musicians come to this festival and it's wonderful! I really recommend it to you

Two years ago I went to Viña Rock in Viñarrobledo. I really had fun. I had never been in a music festival before and this was huge! It lasted three days and it was crowded. There were also many bands from all over the world by Noelia Martínez, former student EOI Murcia
I love going to folk music festivals. There are lots of them in my Region. I think it's important to keep and preserve costumes and music from our ancestors. Antonio López, former student EOI Murcia
I always go to rock festivals when I can. I really like rock. There are many international and national rock festivals. I don't have a favourite one. Some years ago I went to a festival in Germany but I don't remember the name. Sent by Sergio Muñoz, EOI Cartagena.

I think that listening to music is a great pleasure and concerts give you the chance of enjoying of music. I always go to summer concerts. They're not very important but there is always a great atmosphere. Sent by Carolina Marín, former EOI Murcia student
I really like the Moors and Christians festivals and the music you can listen to there. These festivities take place in many places around the Region. Sent by Pepe Saura, EOI Murcia student

My favourite music festival is The Dreambeach festival in the small village of Villaricos in Almeria. It is an electronical music festival. It takes places at the beginning of August every summer.
ELENA CONEJERO
I don't have any favourite festival. I suppose when I was still a teenager I would have liked to go to the first or second edition of the Benicàssim festival (Castellón), but nowadays I wouldn't go not even for free.

I’m really into live music, but I’m not a big fan of music festivals. I think that live performances always sound better in a theatre instead of outdoor concerts. But I would like to talk about “WOMAD”, it is a cultural festival and it has been held in Cáceres. Its acronyms mean “World of Music, Arts and Dance”. The admission is free and apart from musical performances, there are other activities, such as workshops, street entertainment and craft fairs.

I’m really into lindy hop and rock and roll dance and I go every single year to Monachil’s Swing Festival. It is organized by Monachil’s town-hall every July. I do think this festival is absolutely terrific. You can take dancing classes, attend great concerts and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere from there during all the weekend. On top of that, all the activities are free! Nevertheless, if you want to go there, the hotel should have been booked in advance due to the fact that it is really crowded.

Talking about the main festivals in Spain, I would like to say that from my point of view Viñarock festival, that nowadays takes place in Villarrobledo (Albacete), is my favourite music festival. In this place you can listen to several music genres such as punk rock, reggae, heavy and so on.
If I save a bit money, I will go next year. I hope so.

I’m really into listening music, but I hate crowded and overwhelming places. So, I’d rather go to a theatre where I am convinced that you can feel more involved in the sound and performances.
