1) Mind-maps

Some students like to draw spidergrams as a way of remembering vocabulary. It's a good way of brainstorming, organizing your vocab, your ideas and remembering them.

You've got different tools to create your own mind maps.

Choose one semantic field, create a mind map and share it with us!

3) Small vocab notebooks for your bags

  • Keep a small notebook in your handbag with idiomatic expressions, new vocab, sentences, with your learning diary..., it's great! you can revise them wherever and whenever you want.- Elena García

  • I always use a small notebook where I can write vocabulary and sentences that I learn when I read. Then, If I'm at the dentist  or I'm on the sofa, I have a look at them- María Asunción Galindo, former EOI Lorca.

  • When I want to learn new words, I write them on a small notebook that I keep in my bag and when I have a break, I revise them and try to memorise them! I've got a horrible memory!- Francisco García

4) Post its everywhere

  • I put words on post its at home, in all the places...in order to memorise them! The  only way of memorising them is seeing them all the time!-María Asunción Galindo, former EOI Lorca.

  • I found this superb app where I can design images with my own vocabulary, I love creating and I'm a visual learner and this helps me memorise the vocab -Sonia López, former EOI San Javier

5) Repetition and expansion

  • A great way of expanding your vocabulary is by making your own examples. If you learn a structure and a word, write an example using it so that you can remember it easily and quickly. If you write true examples about yourself, you'll memorise them better!-Irene Larrocha
